I am a humanist celebrant based in Sheffield, and I would love to create a bespoke ceremony for you and your loved ones to celebrate this milestone in your life. Together we can craft a script based on your values, your story and your family.
My job is to make the whole process as enjoyable and simple as possible. If you’re hoping for a celebrant who will make your life easy (shout out to the tired parents out there…) and be as excited as you are about your day then you’ve come to the right place.

ABOUT ME
Before I earned my stripes as a humanist celebrant my working life was purely in Corporate Social Responsibility and charity events. From the Natural History Museum and the V&A, to more urban locations like 92 Burton Road in Sheffield, I’ve been lucky to work with a huge range of venues and suppliers. When it comes to your big event I know how important it is to have calm, reliable professionals on your team who know what they’re doing.
HUMANISM AND ME
To be trained and accredited by Humanists UK is such a privilege. I’m enormously proud to be a celebrant and have the chance to celebrate life’s most important moments with people.
In case you’re wondering, Humanism is the belief that we should make the most of the one life we know we have by embracing happiness wherever and however we find it.
It’s a way of understanding the world using reason and evidence, and it’s an approach to life focused on being kind and understanding towards others.
Humanist ceremonies are such a special way to celebrate welcoming a new child to the family and joining together loved-up people in marriage. They are non-religious occasions which are completely welcoming and inclusive to all guests, regardless of the beliefs they hold.
An added bonus that humanist weddings have over registrar weddings is that humanist ceremonies can take place anywhere you like, without the need for a civil marriage licence. So you can select somewhere that’s truly special for you, wherever that may be.

I love LOVE, and I love happy people.
People who work with me say I am passionate and hardworking, and I always try to be non-judgemental and supportive.
I am originally from Blackburn in Lancashire, where lots of my family still live. You can usually find me in Sheffield now, although I haven’t lost the Lancashire accent or the penchant for eating pies. I enjoy walking in the woods and hills of my adopted Yorkshire home with my little dog, Nergal, and my husband, John. Nergal pops up on my Instagram feed regularly, come and meet him.
I’m a bit of a comic book geek but I promise I won’t talk about it unless you are too. If you’re asking, then a couple of the writers I love are Kieron Gillen and G Willow Wilson. There are too many amazing artists to name! I do adore are Kevin Wada, Cameron Stewart and Babs Tarr.
