So you’ve read through all the juicy planning details and you know the benefits of a celebrant wedding. Now you’re at the stage where you’re wondering: What does a wedding celebrant cost?

wedding celebrant and happy couple

My prices vary on the type and size of ceremony, but all of my clients receive the same outstanding level of service, with them at the centre.

  • For a bespoke wedding ceremony, re-wedding, marriage celebration or vow renewal I charge £950

  • For elopements and micro weddings it’s best to get in touch for a bespoke quote

  • If you’re looking for a naming celebrant my fee for a naming ceremony is £450

I pay part of my fee to Humanists UK. If you haven’t heard of them before, they are all round good guys. They are a registered charity set up to support and represent non-religious people who want to live good and responsible lives on the basis of reason and humanity.

As a person who tries to live an ethical life, I’m so pleased that we have a body like this working for non-religious folk. In recent years they have championed equal marriage rights and have campaigned for a ban on so-called “conversion therapy”. In fact their human rights and equality work is super varied and impressive.

If you feel Humanism is for you, you’ll be pleased that as an extra little bonus, free family membership to Humanists UK for one year is included with your ceremony booking.
