Hi I’m Meg Senior, a humanist wedding celebrant based in Sheffield. I work with couples who want their ceremony to be the best bit of their wedding day (not just the part to rush through before it’s time for canapes).
Through an intentionally crafted planning process, I help couples to really enjoy the lead up to their wedding and start to feel prepared for married life. My role is to guide nearlyweds through discussions about their shared values, hopes for the future and relationship highlights.
This process provides the glorious material for me to write highly personal ceremonies, which have guests nodding along and thinking “Gosh, I wonder how long Meg has been friends with the couple?!”

I can proudly say that the ceremonies I create for Sheffield folk are life-affirming, and celebrate individuality and authenticity above all else. My wedding ceremonies set the tone for each celebration and get the day off to the most fun and meaningful start.
Because I know my couples so well, I understand exactly the vibe they would like their wedding to have. Their wedding ceremonies become a way to establish a party atmosphere, as well as being a gorgeously personal declaration of their love.
Naturally if you have a civil ceremony it isn’t possible to choose who marries you or pick someone who has 5 star reviews. But with a celebrant wedding you are fully in control of who gets to be part of your wedding.

As a humanist celebrant my values are at the centre of what I do. If humanism is a new concept to you, it simply means living an ethical life without religion. For me it’s about living life to the full, and being kind to other people and the planet.
As well as being an accredited humanist celebrant, it’s just as important to me to develop a personal connection with everyone I work with.
My mission is to help people express themselves fully, and deeply connect with their loved ones during milestone moments. Ultimately I believe that humans have the right to be their true, unique selves. And I champion the idea that it's OK to live a life others don't understand.
The couples I marry say that working with me is like getting to know a new friend. If you like the idea of meeting over a beer or cuppa, at your personal favourite pub or café or at home, I think we’ll get along well!
